Alan Nan Wu

Founder, CEO and Chairman of the Board

Alan Nan Wu is the CEO and a director of NWTN

He was the founder of ICONIQ and served as its CEO and as an executive director from 2016 to 2022. Alan has substantial experience and expertise in the automotive and electric vehicle industries.

Alan also serves as the legal representative of the following companies; My Car, a Shenzhen based company that specializes in technology development, service consulting and electric vehicle sales; Tianjin Tuoda Management, an enterprise and service company; and ICONIQ New Energy Technology Research Institute which specializes in new energy research and development.

Prior to founding ICONIQ, Alan served as the China Head of JC Horizon.

Alan completed his bachelor degree in 2004 from the Kennedy College of Technology, Canada.

Sherman (Xiaoma) Lu

Independent Non-Executive Director

Sherman is the CEO of East Stone Acquisition Corporation, as well as a founding partner and Managing Director of East Stone Capital Limited, a private equity firm focusing on emerging industries since October 2017.

From January 2017 to November 2017, Sherman served as the executive vice president of Kangde Investment Group, a Chinese company engaging in new energy, financial services, and capital investment.

Prior to that, Sherman served as the CEO of Wanda Investment Company and vice president of Wanda Financial Group, the investment and financial arms of the Wanda Group, a China multinational conglomerate with interests in the real estate, hospitality, retailing, entertainment and heath care. There he was responsible for business expansion, capital investment, and cross board merger and acquisitions in commercial real estate and the entertainment industry.

Previously, Sherman served as the executive vice president of the China Shenzhen Stock Exchange, one of the two primary stock exchanges in China, overseeing public company governance and securities offerings.

Prior to Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Sherman was a full-time non-executive board director at China Construction Bank.

Sherman has also served in various positions and in different functions at the State Street Corporation, a financial services and bank holding company headquartered in Boston with operations worldwide.

Currently, Sherman also serves as an independent director on the boards of Yango Group Co., Ltd., a China-based company principally engaged in the development and sale of real estate; Sailing Henan Investment, a private investment company; and BOC International (China) Co, Ltd., a private company providing securities brokerage and investment services in China.

Sherman received his bachelor’s and master’s degree in thermal engineering from Tsinghua University as well as an MBA degree from Boston College.

Michael S. CASHEL

Independent Non-Executive Director

Michael is a non-executive director of East Stone Acquisition Corporation.

He has been the COO of Open Door Securities LLC since September 2019.

Prior to Open Door Securities, Michael was a business consultant for State Street and a senior vice president of Fidelity Trading Ventures where he led the development of various trading technologies and analytics.

Michael has also served as senior vice president and head of equities with Fidelity’s Capital Market Services.

He has previously served in managerial positions at Bear Steans, Harborside Securities, ABN AMRO and Morgan Stanley.

Michael earned his bachelor’s degree from Saint Lawrence University and is actively licensed in Series 7, 9, 10, 24, 55, 63 and 99.

Benjamin Changqing Ye

Independent Non-Executive Director

Benjamin is an Independent Non-Executive Director of NWTN.

He has served on the board of directors at the following publicly listed companies: Hygeia Healthcare Holdings Limited, Ascentage Pharma Group, Jinxin Fertility Group Limited, Luzhou Bank, Niu Technologies Inc., and Baozun Inc.

Benjamin has also served as a director of the following companies: Panjing Harbourview Investment Fund LLP, Far East Energy Services Co., Ltd., Suzhou Huike Education Co., Ltd., Shanghai Yousheng Investment Management Co., Ltd., and Suzhou Wanlong Logistics Co., Ltd.

Benjamin earned his MBA from the University of Warwick.

Alain BATTY

Independent Non-Executive Director

Alain Batty is an Independent Non-Executive Director of NWTN.

Alain has served as a director of SAS OXYMETAL since December 2014; and has been the President of SAS BATTY & Associates since March 2012.

Alain earned his DEA in Strategy from IAE Aix-en-PROVENCE, France.

Mark A. Schulz

Independent Non-Executive Director

Mark is an Independent Non-Executive Director of NWTN.

He has served on the board of directors at several publicly listed companies, including PACCAR Inc, DANA Inc., and YRC Worldwide Inc.

Mark was previously a Partner at Fontinalis Partners LLC.

Mark earned his Master of Arts degree in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Jasmine Xinyue Geffner

Independent Non-Executive Director

Jasmine is the CFO of Dorsett Hospitality International Services Limited. She is also a director and the audit committee chair of China Finance Online Co. Limited.

Previously, Jasmine led the successful IPO of Green Tree Hospitality Group Limited on the New York Stock Exchange in March 2018 and served as its Chief Financial Officer.

She has also served as a vice president in charge of corporate finance and development of Asia Pacific at LeEco.

During her career, Jasmine has held various senior positions including as an independent director of AG Semiconductor (Hong Kong) Ltd.; as CFO of Carnival Group International Holdings Limited; as a director of corporate and institutional banking at ANZ Hong Kong; and as a head of China business development and a vice president of the consumer and retail group at HSBC in New York.

Jasmine received a bachelor’s degree in international marketing and finance from City University in New York and an MBA degree from the Stern School of Business at New York University.

Jasmine is a CPA in Washington State, USA and has qualified as a CFA. She is well qualified to serve as a director of NWTN as well as serving as a member of the compensation committee due to her extensive experience in finance, accounting, banking, and capital markets.
